Top narrative psychology scholars present and discuss their work on relationships with fictional characters, especially related to how these so-called para-relationships meet psychological, relational and developmental needs for audience members. Speakers will comment and answer questions about how changes brought on by the pandemic might influence both the experience of parasocial relationships and prompt new research in this area.
